Where did you meet each other?

We met at Every Nation church in Lynnwood. I was on hosting for the evening welcoming all the people at the door and Hanlo came to visit our church for the first time with a friend of his, Rudolph. He immediately drew my attention as they walked towards the door, but never thought a handsome man like himself was specially chosen for me – I’m truely a blessed girl.

In short, tell us about your wedding day:

Our wedding day was so unforgetable, calm and just perfect for us in every way possible. Never thought I will get married in the winter because I get cold so easily, but even with the winter season in the air the day was so filled with warmth of all the love, joy, care and fun that we didn’t even notice the refreshing chilled air. Every detail was perfect, so beautiful and heart warming with all the planning over the last 5 months that came together. The atmosphere at the wedding was so uplifting, some moments tears of joy but most of the time happiness was just all around and everyone was just having a blast of a time. The moment I saw my husband to be at the end of the aisle everything just felt perfect, peaceful and just the way it should be because the man of my dreams, my best friend is becoming my husband and that moment was where everything just became magical.

What is your definition of a successful marriage?

A successful marriage is where come what may that you join hands in every season of your marriage pray together and just know, have faith, that God has placed you and your husband in each others lives for something bigger than just us and that what ever you face in your marriage you face together and you will come out stronger at the end of it. Always keep God as your foundation, love one another as God loves us, have patience with each other, remember you are best friends so have fun together and always accept each other with your flaws and being imperfect, but remember you are perfect for each other. Always have time for a long hug or a kiss, never stop giving each other compliments and truly listen to one another (listen to hear and understand and not just to have a reply).
